I started attending Yweb Academy classes on September 12th. The simple fact of going through two interviews, and having a two pages checklist to do, one month ahead the classes starting date, show how serious and new, this experience is going to be for me. The first day was obviously stressful. For a year and a half Togolese immigrant that I’m, meet new peoples, not to know clearly at the beginning what will happen during the three months, being in an environment totally new where you do not know anybody, be aware that YWeb Academy is a great opportunity not to miss, are significant reasons. As far as my country is concerned, Togo is a West African country, where French is spoken as the official language. It is the place where I was born and had spent twenty-nine years of my life before moving to the USA.
As Classes are going on, I’m feeling more and more comfortable and glad. The contents of the classes are interesting beyond my expectations. They are not only about coding or designing but utmost about how to organize once lived in the right way in order to achieve one’s goals and be successful. After three weeks of classes, I become more confident and determined. It is true that sometimes, I could not understand at hundred percent the courses. However, I just consider that as a reminder of the challenge that I have to fight and the must of getting out my comfort zone. I can’t wait to learn new things and graduate in December.
