I think the most important thing Yweb has to offer is change. And through my experience at the Yweb, as well as looking at my fellow cohort around me, I have found that everyone got exactly that - a change.
Did you know that Google uses over 1 million computers for is operation and handles over 1 billion search requests—per day? Or that HP, Google, Microsoft, and Apple have one thing in common – aside from the obvious, they were all started in garages?
This program has given me all the tools and confidence I need to become a freelance web developer. In particular I will focus on assisting older adults in the community by creating websites to sell their craft items.
It was well-timed good luck. Only about six months ago a former co-worker of my husband and YWeb graduate from Cohort 1 brought the program to my attention, just as I was trying to maneuver going back to school for web development or graphic design.
